- ESC helps its members to meet buyers from abroad, direct trade enquiries to its members promote trade contacts, give assistance in terms of inputs & export services.
- ESC acts as a link between the government & its members looking into all complaints & initiate corrective action which includes interacting with government suggesting a change in policy.
- ESC participates in all major Electronics Exhibitions in the world to help its members to meet potential buyers.
- The members of ESC can access the overseas buyers/manufacturers for Import / Export collaborations, joint ventures & sub contracting tie-ups
- ESC keeps abreast of the trends & opportunities in International market for goods and services and assists its members in taking advantage of such opportunities in order to expand & diversify their exports.
- Benefits under the Exim Policy 1997-2002 are available to the exporters which are registered with the council. These benefits includes:-
- Duty free import of raw material and component needed for manufacturing the item of export.
- Capital goods import at the concessional rate of 10% against the normal rate of custom duty of 40% subject to export obligation which is four times the CIF value to be completed in 5 years time.
- Special Import Licence at the rate of 25% of net foreign exchange earnings.
- The Council issues a monthly journal (Elsoftex) which contains salient features of market surveys, developments in the international trade, generalized system of preferences, business opportunities changes in Govt. policies & procedures etc.
