| The
various-short term and long-term and Corporate coordinated works entrusted to the Chief
Engineer (SWM-TEC) are as follows; |
Short-term works:
a. Improvements to the identified Motorable roads.
b. Solid Waste Management
Long-term works
Storm Water Drainage
Corporate co-ordinate
works:
a. Church Street and Midford road development.
b. Infantry and Edward Roads development
c. Installation of Traffic signals and
d. Slum development

Short Term Works |
- Improvement to the identified motorable
roads
|
Total 128 roads were identified for improvement
under the head of Motorable Roads. Apart from these roads some of the roads are also
included as per the request of MLA's and Corporators. All together 138 roads are proposed
to be taken up for improvements and estimates for 125 roads are already finalized.
NIT for the second call for the non-response works and NIT for the remaining works will be
invited together after receiving approval for the remaining estimates from competent
authorities. |
- Solid Waste Management:

For modernization of solid waste management in
BMP' an amount of Rs.2350 lakhs has been raised from HUDCO and the same is proposed to be
invested on the following works. |
- Purchase of Machinery and equipment
- Construction of Platforms for dumper
placer and skip containers
- Construction of transfer stations
- Development of waste processing sites
