Refurbishing existing power distribution lines for better and reliable power supply

Introduction of police patrols and reorganization of Beat system

Completion of 17th bus depot. Replacement of old buses and introduction of private buses.

4. BATF has interacted with each of the civic stake holders to enable preparation of long-term plans which will fructify by 2004 A.D. These plans are seamlessly integrated to provide continuity and making maximum impact on the City’s urban development. Key features of the plans are:

• Planning and implementing slum development and solid waste management
• Setting up systems for slum development and solid waste management
• Providing quality education in municipal schools
• Ensuring daily water supply in most BCC areas, through improved capacity and distribution
• Increase of sewage flow into treatment plants by expansion and rehabilitation of sewerage lines
• Development of the Outer Ring Road
• Introduction of digital network up to subscribers’ premises
• Provision of telephone "on demand"
