Kyo Kii Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta

Movie Review: Kyo Kii.. Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta
Starring:
Govinda, Sushmita Sen, Rambha, Anupam Kher, Sharad Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Ashish
                 Vidyarthi

Director: David Dhawan
Music: Anand Raaj Anand

Producer: Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor

Kyon Ki Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta is all about the story of a lawyer Raj Malhotra (Govinda) who comes all the way from his small town to the enchanting city of Mumbai to become a big man. There he comes across

Tejpal (Anupam Kher) in the court one day and gets very impressed with him. This is when Raj's friend Pyare Mohan (Satish Kaushik) informs him about Adarsh (Sharad Kapoor) the 'ghar jamai' of Tejpal and tells him how Adarsh wooed Tejpal's elder daughter, got married to her and therefore has everything that Tejpal has. Raj, then decides to follow Adarash's footsteps and tries to win the love of Sonal (Sushmita Sen), Tejpal's younger daughter. He succeeds in doing so and thus the two

get married.

But unfortunately, very unlike her elder sister, Sonal being particular about her self respect, moves out of her father's house with bag and baggage to live with Raj in his 'basti', thus shattering Raj's dreams.

Meanwhile, Adarsh taunts Raj for having lost the game and this is when Raj vows to make it big. Thereafter, he becomes a manipulative and dishonest person, lying in every possible way just to earn a few bucks and become rich. Kalra (Ashish Vidyarthi) comes as a means to earning money for him when Kalra's brother Shahbaz Khan is in trouble with the law for murder. Raj takes up his case, lies and gets Kalra's brother acquitted.

In seven years time, he achieves all that he had ever dreamt and even becomes a father of a baby boy. But someone who is not happy with all this, is, Sonal who discovers that she has lost the man who she

once used to love. She finds Raj to have transformed totally into a liar and dishonest character. She decides to get a divorce from him. Their son, not wanting this, prays and wishes to a falling star to make his father speak the truth . Miraculously, Raj loses his ability to lie. He decides to get the real culprits to the court and this one act of his gets him his wife and son back.

Kyon Ki Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta is inspired by the movie LIAR LIAR. Like all other David Dhawan-Govinda movies, this one too, has a whole lot of enjoyable and exciting moments. David Dawan, as the director has once again proved his ability in choosing scripts and ensures the audience, complete entertainment from the beginning to the end. The witty dialogues in this movie are exceptionally well

written. Music by Anand Raaj Anand is so so considering the script of the movie but there isn't a single catchy number. "Ek ladki chahiye khaas khaas" and "Sajan re jhuth mat bolo" are the only ones catching the audience's attention. Cinematography is excellent. Performance wise, Govinda steals the show. It seems, as if the character is sketched keeping him in mind. He has done full justice to the role. Sushmita Sen is OK, though her match with Govinda isn't the best. Rambha as Govinda's mistress has

done an OK job. The others like Anupam Kher, Sharad Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Satish Kaushik have done justice to the small roles they have.

On the whole, Kyon Ki Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta, can be termed as a perfect family movie with numerous hilarious moments. Thanks to David Dhawan and Govinda for this fun-filled movie after a long long wait..........
