Human resources and entrepreneurship development

For development of skills among the local youths and up gradation of human resources on a continual basis industrial units which come forward to adopt the existing training institutions run by the government departments/agencies or propose to establish new training institutions shall be encouraged. Industry associations/Large industrial units which come forward to associate in the following activities would be encouraged.

  • Revision/upgradaton of syllabus/curricula of training institutions, academic institutions to facilitate career development/campus recruitment.

  • Modernization/up gradation of equipment/facilities of training institutions/academic institutions.

  • Exchange programme for faculty of training institutions/academic institutions and industrialist to strengthen the concept of continuing education system.

  • Introduction of "Industry sponsored Awards' for excellence in performance by students in various fields in science/engineering studies.

  • In view of the garment complex being established in Bellary District, a training and designing center for ready-made garment sector would be established in bellary.

  • In view of several large steel plants being established in Bellary district, an exclusive training institute would be set up in Bellary district to cater to this requirement through the joint efforts of government and the industry.

  • Center for enterpreneurship development of karnataka would be strengthened to give an impetus t development of local enterpreneurship right from high school level.

  • Science and technology entrepreneurs parts at mysore and suratkal would be strengthened. Additional STEPs would be encouraged in potential locations.

  • ATIs and DITCs would be modernized/upgraded.

  • Officers of departments and agencies would be trained appropriately to make them better equipped to respond to the needs of entrepreneurs.

  • Youths in weaker sections of the society would be trained appropriately to undertake income generation activities in non-traditional areas. To achieve this, schemes under SC/ST/BC/Weaker sections and of women development corporations would be properly co-ordinated.

  • An exclusive guidance cell will be set up in all offices of the district industries centers to motivate woman entrepreneurs to take up self employment schemes in non-traditional areas.

  • Sector specific/location specific industrial potential surveys will be undertaken to facilitate rural entrepreneurs to take up self-employment schemes. Such studies will be carried out by TECSOK and similar agencies.

  • Industrial units which voluntarily provide employment to women and person belonging to weaker section and physically handicapped categories shall be encouraged with suitable recognition.

  • To help rural youths of the farming community to take up self-employment schemes, special training programmes would be formulated in association with leading R and D/Academic institutions like CFTRI, CEDOK, TECSOK, etc.,

  • Government recognizes the special status of family as a unit in Indian society. To encourage other men and women member of the family in government would undertake suitable training programmes to improve their entrepreneurial skills.

  • Under "Incubator" programme the first generation women entrepreneurs would be supported from commencement of the project implementation till its commercial production. The progress will be monitored continuously by The Women guidance Cell of DICs.
