5. Ardha Cakrasana (Half-wheel posture)
* Stand in Sthiti position.
Support
the back at the waist by the palms. Exhale.
Bend
backwards from the lumbar region. Head bends backwards, stretching the muscles of the
neck. Inhale while bending. Retain the position for about a minute; normal breathing.
*Return to Sthiti through 3 to 4.
BENEFITS: Makes the spine flexible. Stimulates the spinal nerves; promotes circulation of
blood into the head.
