the public road in front of my house, by a private party who is constructing a house near
by. In spite of repeated complaints, these people are today I found that the road has been
completely blocked. There is no way I can ride to my house.

Subject: Citi Taxi |
|
Have you boarded a Citi Taxi parked at Cantt Station (Arrival side ) ?
The drivers most often do not use the Meter and instantly flash a Tariff card at the
destination. If you request for the fare or ask the Driver to put on the Meter while
getting in , he says it is not necessary as the Rates are Fixed and shows you the Card.
Surprisingly this card looks very authentic with a title 'Govt of Karnataka' , normally
laminated and Green in colour........ I am sure there are multiple versions. A novice
would easily be convinced !!
When one gets into a bit of questioning , these drivers refuse to hire. The Irony is that
there is also a Policeman ( at times ) who is expected to regulate and he pleads
ignorance.
The fares in the card are about double the Regular Charge by the Meter. For e.g. I live in
Sahakara Nagar and the fare from Cantt Stn by meter would be about Rs 85-90. The printed
fare on this Fake card is Rs 170.
I have experienced this a number of times and hence feel strongly to do something about
it. Once I even refused to return this card. Soon the driver called in a few others and
snatched the card from my hand.
I would like a responsible Police / Govt / Media official to try this out and investigate
/ report. It would be useful to check it out especially at early morning / late nights
when the Trains arrive, depart so that you are bound to encounter these hooligans !!

Subject: Irrigation Department's Transfer Orders Delay |
|
Hi
I am the daughter of an Assistant Executive Engineer in irrigation department. My father
has not gone for duty since 3 months, as the irrigation minister has not bothered to give
him a place. He was transferred in march to an office, which was dormanted 2 months
before. But he has not been given an alternative place since then. In Mr. S. M.Krishna's
govt every minister thinks he is chief minister. Its the people only in general category
that suffer. If its the transfer of a reservation category people, then they will see that
they get place's in 2 days. Why this discrepancy? are they seem to be the special citizens
of India? Its not only my father, there are 15-20 engineers who are in their waiting
period, without salaries. Can any one do something on this? I hope someone will try and
investigate this and bring to light. thank you.
Regards
Anu
