The foundation of Indiranagar was laid out in residential layouts made up of old bunglows of old Bangaloreans who always left room for a garden. At House of Taamara, the collection urges you to destroy notions and take the sari out of the almirah more often than just when you have a wedding to attend. "We have saris for work and saris for weddings and fun cocktail saris and saris in all price ranges...We want to make handloom saris available to everyone and in our effort support sustainability, free trade and the artisans that we work with", says the owner.

At House of Taamara you will find a collection of handlooms in a price range that begins at Rs. 850 and goes right up to Rs. 50,000. The collection is complimented by jewellery by Neha Arora.

"In the beginning it was difficult, but now that we have sources it is easier to find weavers and communicate the ideas that we have; we sit with them over colours and combinations and see what they can create for us and maintaining the rapport with these places and the weavers," the owner explains.
