'Amra-phala’ Mahabhisheka to Lord Ganapthi on 9th June...

A ‘first-of-its-kind' event; 'Amra-phala' mahabhisheka is being organized by SVSSS Trust at the Sri Shakthi Kalyana Mahaganapathi Temple, 9th Main-3rd Cross Junction, I Block Kalyan Nagar on Saturday, 9th June 2012 from 6.30 pm onwards.

This FREE event is being organized to 'highlight' the flavor of the Mango Season and revel in the beauty of Mother Nature's 'gift' to Man; Mango (King of fruits) or aam!

1008 mangoes or more collected from devotees will be made into pulp (maavina hannina rasa) and Sri Shakthi Kalyana mahaganapathi would be performed with a Mahabhisheka with this rasa on that day! Once, the abhisheka is over, a 'unique' Alankara for Lord Ganapathi would be done ONLY with mango paraphernalia; Mango leaves, garlands, seeds et al. Subsequently, ‘prasad' will be distributed after the event to all present.

Devotees may participate in this FREE event by way of 'gifting' mangoes to the Lord or by performing sevas. Mangoes maybe 'offered' to the temple authorities from next Wednesday onwards (6th Jun 2012). Devotees who wish to pay for the seva can visit the temple during working hours. The temple also organizes regular abhishekas to other deities at regular intervals
