Mekedatu (Goat’s leap)

Mekedatu (Goat’s leap)

A famous picnic spot situated within the limits of the Muggur forest. Here, the river Kaveri flows through a deep ravine. On top of it is a chasm 5 m wide, narrow enough for a goat to leap across. At the Sangam where the two rivers meet, there is a temple dedicated to Sangameshwara.
