Marketing Assistance

The Government has proposed to undertake following steps to help Tiny and Small Scale Industries in marketing their products:

• VITC will develop a strong data base to provide trade and export related information.
• DSMS will market products at the District level though show rooms.
• KSIMC/MSIL will undertake export of SSI products.
• Purchases through SPD would be streamlined to help SSI Sector.
• Purchase of ISO/ISI certifies products will be given preference.
• Government will assist NGOs/Self Help Agencies/Co-operatives which facilitate marketing of tiny/small scale industries products in rural areas.
• Government will facilitate the industrial units of the state to get a fair share of DGS &D purchases and other GOI agencies purchases.
• Appropriate policy for development of ancillary/sub-contract industries would be formulated separately in due course of time.
