Nirmal Kumar Jaipuria a prominent
businessman was kidnapped on 15-7-97 & a ransom of Rs.10 Crore was demanded. Jaipuria
was rescued within 4 days and 10 members of the gang were arrested. The gang members had
links with Punjab terrorists and professional kidnappers who had successfully
kidnapped/killed persons in Varanasi, Patna, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh.
Master Chandrashekar, a 6 year old
boy was kidnapped by Babu @ N. Prakash of Mandya & Ravi @ Raghavendra of Mandya was
rescued by Blore City Police(Aug.1997).
Krithikha Shah a 6 year old girl
was kidnapped from Sophia convent on 3.9.97. The girl was rescued by Blore City
Police and kidnapper arrested.
Bangalore City Police helped
Andhra Police in unearthing a gang responsible for the bomb blast at Hyderabad. The
accused were arrested & material used for making bombs were recovered (Nov. 1997).
